MICHAEL PATRIARCA (Athlete, Class of 2018)

When you look through the names of the members of the Warren Athletic Hall of Fame something becomes readily evident-some of the names are repetitive. Some families produced multiple Hall of Famers and one in particular has produced more than any other; the Abbruzzi’s. Mike Patriarca followed his Grandfather Pat onto the playing field and into the Hall of Fame.

Mike played Varsity soccer all four years in high school. As a freshman, he was named 3rd team All Open Division East in 2003. He was also named Mt. Hope Rookie of the Year-Soccer. He followed that up in 2004 as a sophomore with a 2nd All Division One East nod and Mt. Hope MVP for Soccer.

In his junior year, he captained the Soccer Team.  He was named All State and 2nd All Division One East in 2005 along with an MVP nod for soccer. In 2006, he captained the Huskies to the state championship finals, upsetting Hendricken, South Kingston, and La Salle, before losing in the final game. For his outstanding play in 2006 Mike was named All State and 1st Team All Division One East. He won his 3rd Soccer   MVP.

He was also given the Coaches Award for golf. For excellence in the classroom and on the playing field he was named Mt. Hope Scholar Atlhete.
