LAUREN HALE  (Athlete, Class of 2017)

 

Lauren Hale joins the Warren Athletic Hall of Fame as one of its most decorated and accomplished track and field athletes. Lauren followed a remarkable career as a sprinter at Bishop Connolly in Fall River with an equally remarkable career at the college level, competing in the Ivy League for Brown University.

 

 

At Bishop Connolly, Lauren's career got off to an early start. While most freshmen compete at the junior varsity level, Lauren was named a Massachusetts Eastern Athletic Conference All Star in 2000. As a sophomore, she was named Captain of the track team-a position usually occupied by a senior. She would continue to captain the team until she graduated. She was also Eastern Athletic Conference All Star again in 2002. She was named Eastern Athletic Conference All Star again in 2003. In 2002 and 2003 she was undefeated in the 100 meter dash.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In 2003, Lauren was the Massachusetts Class D State Champion in the 55 meter Dash. She Was Bishop Connolly Most Valuable Player-Track, Female Athlete of the Year, and Female Academic Athlete of the Year in 2003.

 

 

 

 

 

 

After graduating from Bishop Connolly, Lauren attended Brown University where she continued to excel at academics and athletics.  She competed for Brown and was an Ivy League Top Ten Sprinter all four years. Lauren was a member of Brown's 4x100 meter relay team. Lauren was All Ivy League in 2007.
